Types of Cooker Hoods for any Kitchen:

Cooker hoods come in a variety of shapes and sizes to fit in with the décor of your room. However, for the money conscious, there are also some very low cost options:
Freestanding cooker hoods are fitted to your wall above your hob. Prices can vary, but if you are on a budget, you may be restricted to this range, for example you can pick these up for under £40. These are usually the least powerful on the market. Integrated cooker hoods are usually designed to fit directly into fitted kitchen units, unfortunately they tend not to be as powerful as the next two.
Chimney cooker hoods – this is where we start to make more of a fashion statement. They are usually made from stainless steel and some are combined with glass. The chimney is fitted with a fan to extract the smells and steam that the canopy captures.
Island cooker hoods – are the next step up and usually the biggest. These usually attach directly to the ceiling, so you need to ensure there is enough room, some are now freestanding built into the worktop beside your hob the Elica Eagle. These are usually the most expensive; you can also buy designer models like the Elica Eagle, but be prepared to part with a few thousand pounds.
